DEFECTING ENUGU LABOUR PARTY LAWMAKERS TRAPPED AS MBAH  AND PDP STAKEHOLDERS REJECT THEIR FORMAL ACCEPTANCE INTO PDP

The six defecting members of State House of Assembly elected under the platform of Labour Party  which one of them is Mr. Pius Onyeka Ezugwu are currently stranded after collecting 30m naira each from the governor , as part of the deal to defect to PDP.

Their formal acceptance into the PDP scheduled to hold today, Sunday, 24th March, 2024 has been cancelled by the Governor, leaving them stranded and disappointed.

Prior to this day, the lawmakers have been planning and arranging themselves for the ceremony without knowing what laid until today as the governor cancel the ceremony in rejection of their defection.
The Governor was said to have reached the deal of defection with them to form his own political structure against that of Rt. Hon. Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi but since the news of their proposed defection became public, the governor has been inundated with complaints that the defecting Lawmakers have no electoral value to build on as their victories in the past election was basically on Peter Obi's influence.

What is now left is for Mbah to request for a refund of the money paid for that purpose as the six lawmakers have no Political party at the moment.

What is not certain is whether Mbah will defect to the All Progressive Congress, APC or he will remain in PDP.

The six defecting Labour Party lawmakers have embarked on a journey to the neverland and political oblivion.
