YOUTHS OF OZALLA ABOR COMMUNITY PROTEST AGAINST LAND GRABBING

*YOUTHS OF OZALLA  ABOR COMMUNITY IN UDI LOCAL  GOVERNMENT PROTEST AGAINST LAND GRABBING BY ONE CHUKWUKA UGWU*

Today 18th, May 2024,  the youths of Ozalla Abor in community in Udi Local government of Enugu state took to the street against what they termed as wickedness and sacrilegious act of land grabbing by one Mr. Chukwuka Ugwu who have for over 13 years been using indirect way in  selling out the community lands to both the government officials  and private persons.  

According to report, Mr. Ugwu has been conspiring with many people which include the traditional ruler of the community HRH  Igwe Chukwudi Ngwudile, ,Chinweike Emefu,Evarist udengwu, Ejike Ugwu,Emeka ikpa and Joseph udengwu to deceive the people of the community using government name to grab lands that belong to the entire community.

It has also been alleged that  Chukwuka ugwu has been feasting on the proceeds of ozalla Abor inherited land for over 13years without anyone questioning him until recently when youths decided to put a check on it.

It has also been alleged that Mr Chukwuka ugwu has a native doctor known as Obelechukwu in his payroll who baths him with charms  and  different animal blood poured together to control his cohorts especially  anyone  who takes over as general manager  of Enugu State housing development Corporation and commissioner for lands in the state . The youths confirmed he has been using such powers to commit all sorts of atrocious act such as flunting exotic cars and going about with different women through the returns from community People's land.

However, Mr. Ugwu has been reported to have ran to Asaba to hide from being hurt by the angry youths who are rigorously looking for him as Mr. Ugwu has promised the Igwe of the community 20 plots of land if he could support him to join hands with Enugu state housing development corporation to forcefully take the mountain view lay out owned by Ozalla village.

Ozalla village is calling on the Enugu State, ministry of chieftaincy affairs to caution Igwe Chukwudi Ngwudile from derailing from his leadership role to nefarious activities.

The youths have come out to put a stop to any further attempt by anyone who may have plan of toing the same path with Mr. Ugwu who do not even have any academic certificate from any school but has seen community lands as his only source of livelihood.

Currently, the youths are in Search of him as  he escaped. But his colleagues were handed over to the police after  being  badly  beaten by the angry youths.
