Former House leader, Enugu state house of assembly dumps PDP ..

Former house leader in the Enugu state house of assembly,Hon. Ikechukwu Ezeugwu has announced his resignation from the people's Democratic Party ( PDP). In the letter conveyed to his ward chairman, People's Democratic party Udunedem ward in Udenu local government, the lawmaker narrated that the major reason for his resignation from the party is because of deceptive tactics employed by some leaders of the party in the 2023 general election. He pointed out that many people who have supported the party in the state were deceived into purchasing nomination forms and consequently, encouraged to campaign but were later treated as being worthless.

He further noted that some people in the party have derailed from the  objectives of the party.

According to eye witnesses, the incident happened at ugwuonye ama .  However, this is not the first time the particular road is wasting innocent lives but government is yet to respond to the construction of the road thereby becoming a death trap .
